Parents and Community

Have club at YOUR house!

Young Life in Northeast Orlando is part of a world-class organization for adolescents. Our staff and volunteers enter the world of kids, focusing on what matters to them — fun, adventure, friendship and a sense of significance. In doing so, we earn the privilege of talking to them about something that we think matters most of all — the truth about God and His love for us.

  • Young Life exists in our community because of adults who invite and support our presence. We call them our committee. No doubt you know some of our committee members and supporters.
  • Parents are our partners — we want the best for your kid, too.
  • Young Life was founded in 1941 by a pastor who wanted to spend time with kids who were disinterested in church.
  • Today, you'll find Young Life in 54 countries and supported by 4,000 staff members, more than 14,000 volunteer leaders and almost 12,000 local committee members.
  • Young Life is non-denominational. In fact, in Northeast Orlando Young Life has been supported by members of churches like like Northland (Longwood), Willow Creek Church, Tuskawilla United Methodist, St. Stephens, Northland (at Hagerty), First Baptist Oviedo, Ascension Lutheran, Orangewood, and Summit Church just to name a few.
  • Our leaders are adults who are screened carefully and trained continuously.
Keeping Kids Safe
An important part of our committment to kids is how we keep kids safe. Our staff and volunteer leaders know they are responsible for modeling lives of hope and integrity. Young Life's Human Resources department has developed missionwide policies and procedures to ensure that kids are protected when they are with Young Life staff and/or leaders as well as when kids are part of Young Life sponsored activities.

You Could Be A Leader
Young Life Leaders come in all shapes, sizes, and yes...ages, too. Teenagers need adults who are willing to invest time and energy in their lives. Could you be one of those adults? Take a look at our video, "Volunteering with Young Life".
